The Quran is the true book of Allah. This is the message of Allah to His servants, and Quran increases faith and removes rust from the hearts. Reciting the Holy Quran is a source of blessing and reward. But it is a pity that the majority of us do not put enough attention to the recitation and learning of the Holy Quran with tajweed. They refrain from investing their time in worldly activities, while they pretend that they don’t have time to recite and learn the Qur’an.

TRANSLATION: This is a blessed Book which we have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ so that they may contemplate its verses, and people of reason may be mindful. [Ref: Surah Saad: 29]
The recitation of the Holy Qur’an itself is a source of reward and reward, whether the reciter understands its meanings and demands or not. Each of its letters will get 10 virtues as it has been said in the hadith. However, it is only the grace of Allah Almighty that He bestows a great reward on every reciter.
But by reading without understanding, one will get the reward, but the real purpose of the revelation of the Qur’an will not be achieved. What is that purpose? Guidance and light will be given only to him who will try to understand the Qur’an and gain awareness of its meanings and demands. Today, the readers of this Qur’an are in the number of millions, but how many understand the rules and regulations and teachings and instructions described in it? Few, very few, although Allah Almighty has said:
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ ١٧
TRANSLATION: “And we have certainly made the Quran easy to remember. So is there anyone who will be mindful?” [Al Qamar: 17]
